Our Operations trailer is designed to provide, among other things, on site radio communications. NOVASAR holds an FCC radio license to operate on the national consensus Search and Rescue radio frequency. Members are issued standard VFH radios as they begin search activities. This enables them to maintain contact with the Command Center.

"Many members also hold Amateur Radio (Ham) licenses and own their  radios, This enables them to maintain radio communication with the command post even if the trailer's communication equipment is not available. Ameture Radio also provides communications between team members while enroute to a search mission.
